1. What information is needed when contacting Maintainer Corp. of Iowa’s parts and service department?

            1.The body or crane serial number and/or work order is the quickest reference.

            The correct bill to address and ship to address.

            The contact name and phone number are helpful.

            The payment method will be necessary.

            The chassis VIN is not a reference number.

 

2. What are the payment methods?

            Maintainer Corporation of Iowa will set up open accounts.

            Maintainer Corporation of Iowa will ship C.O.D.

            The customer can pay in advance of shipment.

            Maintainer Corporation of Iowa accepts Mastercard and Visa.

 

3. Can an older Maintainer be installed on a new chassis?

            Yes. There are some items that may not work on the new chassis. The P.T.O.

usually will not transfer to new units. The rotation of the hydraulic pump may

change. Installation of a one ton body on a two ton chassis may cause clearance

issues.

 

4. What is the difference between open and closed center hydraulic systems?

            The open center hydraulic system uses a fixed displacement pump. The pump’s

G.P.M. is constant.

            The closed center hydraulic system uses a variable displacement pump. The

pump’s G.P.M. is determined by the load requirement.
