HR Update - Are You Ready For The End Of The Year?

Hello Maintainers! I hope that everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Holiday. I know I had a wonderful time being able to spend quality time with family, and of course, eat a ton of delicious food.
The completion of Thanksgiving means that Christmas is right around the corner. I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Now let's take some time and discuss the dreaded winter weather. If you have not already signed up to receive Text Message Alerts from Maintainer, please do so. We will use the Text Messaging service to inform employees of weather-related information as well as Late Starts and/or plant closures.
It is very simple to sign up!

• If you work at our Sheldon Main, Chassis Prep or Sheldon South locations, simply text MAINTAINERMCI to 84483 to receive Sheldon alerts.
• If you work at our Rock Rapids location, simply text MAINTAINERMCB to 84483 to receive Rock Rapids alerts.

As always, when we discuss winter weather, we also have to discuss the potential for icy, hazardous parking lots. Please be extra cautious when walking to and from vehicles while in the parking lots. Try not to carry too many items so that you can use your hands to catch yourself if you do start to fall. Keep your feet about a foot apart and take small shuffling steps, and always try to find the safest path around the ice when possible.

Some HR end-of-the-year reminders for employees:

• Update your personal information - Employees should make sure addresses and contact information are up to date for W-2's in the new year. And it is always a good idea to make sure that HR has your current contact information for emergency purposes.
• Submit FSA Information - Do you have a Flexible Spending Account? Be sure to submit your FSA receipts before the end of the year. You may roll over up to $500 into next year's account.

And lastly, don't forget to donate blood for the Community Blood Bank on Wednesday, December 18. You can sign up at the front desk!
