Summer Safety: On and Off the Job

Well, it’s finally here in Northwest Iowa, SUMMER!
The shop is buzzing with talks of summer, I have heard about motorcycle and fishing trips, hey even I have been talking about a family trip that is happening very soon!
Something I wanted to reflect on was, of course, the safety factor. Yes, you should wear your helmet and life jacket if out on the open road or the water, and, of course, wear sunscreen! Those are some of the safety measures we take in the moment.
Let’s talk about how we can get to these fantastic summer events safely, and part of that starts here at work and at home.

While it may be enticing to daydream about landing that huge fish, or jumping a big wave on a jet ski, we need to remain in the moment here at work.

Distracted production is dangerous production!

As the temps rise, so do the risks of heat related illness: Heat exhaustion and Heat Stroke.
Proper hydration (which starts the night before) will help keep you safe and healthy and ready to make summer memories!
