The Importance of Cybersecurity Training

We do cybersecurity training here at Maintainer for those who have Maintainer emails. It is to help keep our company safe, but it also trains us when we are at home or on our phones looking at our own emails and thinking about if it is safe or not. Cybersecurity training needs to be on the forefront of everyone's minds. Cyber threats are not going away. Cyber bad guys don't care if it is an individual or a company. They just want to make a mess of things and get your money. We can't ignore what is happening. Please be aware of what you are doing. Cybersecurity is like safety, it takes all of us to be safe. You wouldn't want to be that person who let it happen here or at home.

I wouldn't want you to click on a bad email at home either. One wrong click on an email and the cyber criminals can take your personal information. I wouldn't want your family to have to go through identify theft or worse loss of all your money because someone clicked on the wrong link. It could happen, even through your cell phones. It can take years to recover from identity theft. Or you lose all of your money. Most people store their bank account passwords on their computer. All you have to do is log into your bank one time on your home computer and your password is there. It can be taken and they can drain your bank accounts. The bank won't know until you tell them. You could have the misfortune of having your computer held for ransom. Paying the ransom is no guarantee that you will get your information back.
